Day Trippin’ starts out as a lush, haunting piano ballad, married with a tinkering slow syncopated rhythm, with beautiful piano chord runs, being underpinned by a looming haunting kind of vibe. The Interlude is between a group of musicians talking about music in general and where it stands now days, backed behind some piano and drums. And then the track takes a whole different turn, it goes into a whole new vibe, kind of like being on an island, like picture Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
